We have experimented with not sending email updates to users when they have no new messages. Unfortunately, this process created a whole new flood of support issues with users asking why they did not receive their updates per their delivery schedule. Our solution was to change the subject line to indicate if you have “No New Messages.” We believe this is the best solution.
If you find that you are receiving too many updates with “No New Messages,” please consider changing your email delivery settings or try adding a social network like Facebook or Twitter which are more active.
